BRAIDLOCK® : Securing Lifelines®

The BRAIDLOCK® is an adjustable line-fixation device. It is effective, efficient and easy to use. Most importantly, it reduces the cost of medical care.

The BRAIDLOCK®:

  • enables lines to be attached, adjusted and detached more quickly and efficiently than is otherwise possible
  • reduces the use of sutures, thereby reducing the risk of needlestick injury
  • is easily adjustable by nursing staff
  • reduces post operative care costs
  • reduces the risk of lines slipping
  • reduces infection risk
  • improves patient outcomes
  • is manufactured in the United Kingdom, with a "CE" mark
  • is protected by worldwide patents

The device is similar to a “Chinese Finger Trap.” It increases in diameter when compressed longitudinally, allowing the insertion of a line, drain or catheter. When it is released, the diameter contracts forming a tight grip on the inserted line.

The BRAIDLOCK® can be attached to the patient in one of three ways: by Suture, by integrated Adhesive Pad, or by hook & loop strap.

The BRAIDLOCK® is suitable for use in a variety of clinical settings including cardiothoracic surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, plastic surgery, ENT, and neo-natal intensive care.

Please see our video demonstration here.

The BRAIDLOCK® is presently available for sale in the UK and certain other markets in sizes of 2.5Fr to 36Fr. For more information or to arrange a demonstration, please contact us.
