Mission & Guiding Principles

Our Mission...

... is to provide the global standard in line, drain and catheter securement.

For the first time in over a century, the process of medical line fixation and adjustment is being revolutionised by this small, safe and cost-effective device. We hope the BRAIDLOCK® will rapidly become the standard in a USD $5+ billion / year industry where over half of the 500 million lines used become dislodged (causing patient discomfort and medical risk).

Our Guiding Principles...

...we are commited to bringing this remarkable device to a market hungry for a device that strives to be safer, faster and cheaper than current line securement techniques.

Our intentions are to:

  • Ensure safety; our products are Class 1 devices, meaning that they do not enter the human body, but rather rest outside it. Our research team is constantly reviewing best practice in medical device safety and ethics to ensure the BRAIDLOCK® remains safe and fit for purpose while offers other benefits such as reducing infection risk and increasing patient comfort.
  • Reduce the spread of infection; unlike traditional securement devices, the BRAIDLOCK® has minimal skin contact and thus the area around a wound site can be cleaned much more easily.
  • Contribute to environmental sustainability within the medical industry; our solution is much less resource intensive, and has a lower carbon footprint than the incumbent alternatives.
  • Work with clinicians and all healthcare providers; through a message of consensus, team building, global research and best practice we are introducing this revolutionary device and enabling over-burdened medical professionals to concentrate more time with their patients.
  • Support research and innovation; BRAIDLOCK® welcomes inquiries from teaching hospitals and other research bodies which seek to advance research in surgery, anesthesiology, transplants, infection control and more. If you have a suggestion to improve the BRAIDLOCK® please let us know.

You can play an important part in this exciting mission by letting your peers and colleagues know about the BRAIDLOCK® and its benefits to patient care. Please share our site with your social media networks.
